6:55 PM – M.S.T.   I have not been online very much this week because I have been very sick with one of the worst colds I have had in more than ten years.  I rarely, if ever, see a doctor just because I have a little cold.  But Wednesday I developed a very high fever and my home health care nurse told me to see my doctor right away.  As it turned out, my doctor could not see me until this coming Monday.  When I repeated this to my home health care nurse, she said that I could not make it until Monday. That scared me enough to become more assertive with my doctor's office.     I told his receptionist that if he could not see me, then I would be forced to go to the ER.  They arranged for me to see a physician's assistant instead.  While there, I was given a number of tests by five different people.  The tests showed that I did not have the flu, but do have a serious form of some type of cold, which is making its way around the Denver area.   My doctor told me that he is worried that I might catch pneumonia during this coming weekend.  I was given a list of things to watch out for, and told that if my condition becomes worse then I have to call my doctor, and will probably be hospitalized. All I amgoing too do this weekend is take lots of medicine and SLEEP.   As a result of all this, I will probably not be online very much this weekend.  When I do start feeling better, which will hopefully be next week at the latest, I will try catching up on all the messages, hugs, and comments that have been left for me.   I hope that everyone has a good weekend!
