6:15 P.M. – M.S.T.   My trip to see my new doctor this afternoon went very well.  She was extremely nice and made me feel comfortable right away.  We discussed the accident I had in December, as well as the problems I have had since then.  She asked why my doctor had sent me to see her, and I replied that I did not know, but I thought it had something to do with his feeling that I should have some physical therapy.   She then called my doctor and they had a private conversation.  He brought her up-to-date on the injuries I had received.  After she was finished talking with him, she arranged for me to have some new x-rays taken in her office.   After the x-rays had been taken, she showed them to me on her computer.  I was really pleased with the way they turned out.  I do not have any fracture!  There is swelling and soreness in both of my legs, knees, and my left hip.  She has given me a prescription for some physical therapy that I am to have two days a week for six weeks.  If I am still having pain at the end of that time, she wants to see me again.   The doctor also said that I needed to start taking some calcium tablets so that my bones will become stronger.  In light of the fact that I had not seen an orthopedic doctor in about 18 years, she suggested that I see her at least once a year.  I have no objection to doing that.   My sister met me at the doctor's office.  As it turned out, that was quite good since I was unable to open the doors to the building by myself, or to reach the elevator buttons.  At one point, when the doctor left the examining room for a few minutes, my sister looked at me and said she knew that I was happy with the doctor based on just her looks alone.  That was more than true.  She was what I would call a "blonde bombshell."
