9:55 A.M. – M.S.T. There simply are not enough hours in the day for me to do everything that I want to or even need to do. I cannot stretch the day, mainly because I do not have that magical power. That is probably good news for everyone! I have been doing a lot of thinking again (this often gets me in trouble), and realize that not only is everything not as it should be at DS, but in my life as well. I cannot make a comment on everything that this has brought to mind because this journal entry would wind up being a lengthy book. Keeping that in mind, I will make a comment or two (or maybe a few more) on some of the things that have been flittering in and out of my mind lately. I want to make an apology to many of my friends on DS who have not been receiving messages, hugs, and comments on their journal entries from me. This is not from a lack of interest. I try to keep up-to-date with everyone, but that is not possible to do on a daily basis. I need to have more "daily strength" in order to do that. I also need to get rid of a phobia whereby I feel that the things I write are not as good, or as interesting, as are most of the items posted by other people who write here. Has anyone looked at the new Discussion Boards this week? I looked yesterday, and there seems to be a lot of controversy about them. Personally, I think that Doug and the DS team have put in a lot of effort to make these boards much better. They can really be helped if all of those people who are complaining would please shut up and give the new boards a fair try. I can see why the complaints are rolling in. The new boards make it harder for troublemakers who want to fight to find those people with whom they used to fight. It makes it nicer for everyone else, but harder for them. The so-called amateur "experts" (who are also troublemakers) are now finding it harder to find new people on whom they can inflict their make-believe help. No longer can they pretend to have all the answers at the snap of their fingers. They now have to search through a countless number of boards before coming across innocent newcomers who are seeking real help rather than “pretend” help. Please note that I consider Doug and the DS team to be the good people, and the wearers of white hats. Long may they live! Quotes for Happiness: “Happiness is not pleasure, it's victory.” Anonymous
