10:50 AM – M.S.T.   This morning, two nurses came to see me from my home health care agency.  One of the nurses sees me weekly, and the other one sees me once every two months.  There was nothing unusual in their visits -- they were routine.   While the nurses were here, I told them about the CNA who was here Saturday night.  I reported that I had smelled the older of alcohol on her breath, as well as some of the unusual things she did while she was here.  One of the nurses said that when she got back to their office she would make a report on what I had told them.   About half an hour ago, I spoke with the head of their agency.  She said the CNA denied that she had been drinking.  The head of the agency asked me if my "nose" could have been mistaken.  I said no.  She then asked me what I wanted her to do.  After a short hesitation, I said that I wanted this person to be replaced.  She agreed to that.   We then talked about the last CNA who I had also reported as having been drinking.  That was the one who knocked over one of my lamps and broke it.  I was told that the agency had her take a test for alcohol, and that it turned out negative.  I said that I didn't care what the tests might have shown, but I knew she was drunk!  What I did not think to ask her until I was off the phone, was since when can a person take a test for being under the influence of alcohol some 36 hours, or more, after it happened.  I have never heard that a test like that existed.   I did think to ask why they were giving me people "from the bottom of the barrel" all of a sudden.  I did not get any reply to that question.   Although everybody has been nice to me, I feel that my integrity is being challenged.  I am not a liar, yet I feel as though I am being treated as one.   Quotes for Happiness:   “Happiness, it is said, is seldom found by those who seek it, and never by those who seek it for themselves.” F.
