1:35 PM –M.S.T.  I am still upset with my brother after learning that he has been hiding the fact that he is an alcoholic for several years.  Had he not been charged with DUI recently, I seriously doubt that he would have even told me now.   Yesterday I spent much of my time burning up with anger, disappointment, and pain from the knowledge that my brother now has a disease of alcoholism.  Admittedly, I should have been more concerned about him, but my own self-centered thoughts turned to the abusive, and sometimes cruel, ways he has treated me throughout the years.  There have even been times when he has behaved as if I did not exist.   I am not sure how, or even if, his life will change from this point on.  For his sake, I sincerely hope that he owns up to his mistakes and moves forward in a new, and more positive, direction.   Quotes of Happiness:   “Happiness is not a matter of good fortune or worldly possessions. It is a mental attitude. It comes from appreciating what we have, instead of being miserable about what we don't have. It's so simple—yet so hard for the human mind to comprehend.” Bits and Pieces
