3:05 PM   People come to Daily Strength, and people leave Daily Strength, once they feel that they have accomplished what they set out to do.  It is not just restricted to Daily Strength, but happens throughout the world in numerous ways and places.  I feel a certain amount of hurt each time one of my friends from here leaves without letting me know in advance.  Such was the case yesterday.   No one is forced to come here.  Each of us comes and goes of our own free will.  There is no set rule mandating how long members must stay here.  Nor is there a rule saying that members must give notice before leaving.  There are times when I wish that were the case, but I think that would cause a conflict with our basic freedoms, and that cannot be allowed to happen.   When my friends leave unexpectedly, most often I feel a sense of hurt and loss.  I tend to think of myself first and my friend second, which is not the way it should be.  In reality, I may be hurt for a while, but I will get over it.  I need to retrain my thinking so that I think about what is most important for my friend first and me second.  That is what is known as a real friendship.   In recent days, I have been receiving a lot of chain mail.  I detest this with almost every ounce of strength in my body.  There are many people who find a great deal of pleasure and fun sending and receiving chain mail, but this is not for me.   Ninety-nine percent of the time that I receive any chain mail, I automatically delete it without reading it.  Anyone sending me this type of mail is wasting his or her time.  I am mentioning this because I would like to have those people who keep sending this chain mail to at least have the courtesy not to send it to me.  I do not like it.  If everyone reads the rules and regulations of Daily Strength, they will see a request from Doug that no chain mail should be sent to anyone.   Now and then, I do participate in sending chain mail if I feel that it is very important to do so.  However, starting now I will no longer take part in this.  All chain mails I receive will be deleted immediately.   Quotes for Happiness:   “I am still determined to be cheerful and happy, in whatever situation I may be; for I have also learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions, and not upon our circumstances.”   - Martha Washington

Some of that chain mail here has been spam. Which is even more saddening. And maddening.
Yes, I\'m going to miss my friend but I had a feeling when her ordeal was all over, she would leave. She can always come back! But now, she needs to get back to a life away from a monitor!

Weeble hugs and Mojo.
