I was not feeling very good yesterday, so I took time off from DS. Today is not much better, but I prefer not to miss two days in a row, so I am going to write a few things now and the rest later today.
After going to bed Tuesday night, I found too many good things to watch on TV so I somehow talked myself into watching it until around two o'clock in the morning. When it came time for me to get up at 7:30 AM, it was all I could do to keep my eyes open. I went to the kitchen and made sure that my CNAs had gotten everything prepared for me that I would need during the day.
They left, but I did not have any appetite for breakfast. I decided to go to my bedroom and take a short catnap. As it turned out, I must been more tired than I thought, because I wound up sleeping for more than six hours. I woke up just about fifteen minutes before my CNA came to prepare my dinner and do my laundry. By the time dinner was ready, I was practically starved -- or least I felt that way.
I watched TV for a few hours, and then my nurse came to examine me before I went to bed. I told her that since the home health care agency had made all of the changes in my staffing that I had requested, I was completely happy with the care I was receiving. I am not sure which one of us was more surprised -- my nurse for hearing what I said, or me for having told her that. I think it came as a shock for both of us, but at least I was telling the truth.
Yesterday I started reading another mystery book. It is named The Blue Screen. It was written by Robert B. Parker, who is another one of my favorite authors. I had gotten the book a year ago, but my brother was visiting me at that time, and when he left to go home, he just picked the book up and took it with him without even asking me whether that was okay. It was not, but by the time I realized what had happened, he was gone.
