Things are slowly getting better than they were when I wrote my last journal entry on Monday.  I am not out of the woods yet, but I am getting there.   I had a good visit with my doctor yesterday, but I do not think that I have ever had a bad one with him.  We see eye-to-eye on most things.  We have had a very good relationship ever since I started going to him about nine years ago.   My doctor agrees with me that I am under too much pressure.  As a result of this, I have started having heart palpitations for which he has written a prescription for me.  He feels that I am under too much stress.   He examined my left foot, and while pressing against the inner side of it he could tell by looking at my facial reactions, about where the foot was fractured.  After examining my left knee, which was swollen, he decided that I needed to have some physical therapy.  He is trying to locate a hospital which will accept Medicare/Medicaid and let me go there as an outpatient.   My doctor also arranged for his social worker to help me with the problems that I am having at my mental health clinic.  She is going to be contacting them to make sure that I am still entitled to go there and take part in their programs.   The apartment complex where I live has agreed to let me have a new key for my mailbox at no cost.  That is good news, assuming that the person who took the other key, has not gotten into the mailbox and taken everything out.   In addition to stealing my mailbox key, that person also seems to have stolen a large box of laundry detergent.  If it is not one thing, it is another.   My PCP came to see me this morning in order to do my laundry, but was unable to do that when she learned that the laundry detergent was not there.  I gave her some money for a new box of it and asked her to bring it tonight.  While she was here, she did manage to take down my Christmas trees, and other decorations, and put them away until next year.   I have talked with my sister at great length, and she has agreed to help me in whatever way possible.  She said that she wants to go see the head of my home health care agency to tell her that the family is very displeased with the care that I am getting from that agency.  She said she is quite willing to go with or without me, and will make arrangements for her daughter to go with her.  I have some doubts as to the advisability of her doing that, but that is a decision that she will have to make for herself.   My doctor's office has arranged for me to see an eye doctor next month when I see my regular doctor.  I might as well kill two birds with one stone.   Quotes of Self-Image:   “Far too many people have no idea of what they can do because all they have been told is what they can't do. They don't know what they want because they don't know what's available for them.” Zig Ziglar
