I have been stuck at home most of this week because of snow, snow, and more snow.  We had some light snow earlier in the week, which was not too bad.  Wednesday night the forecasters said we would have an additional one to two inches of it.  When I got up yesterday morning, there were about 6 inches on the ground.  Today that has increased to nearly ten inches.  In addition to that, last night the temperature plummeted to a cold 6°. Brrrr!   I would like to get out and go to the bank, and get some money for some groceries.  The sidewalks and streets are not yet been shoveled.  My wheelchair will not go through more than three inches of snow.  It looks as though I will be stuck here for an indefinite period.   One of the friends I made here on DS came to Colorado from Virginia to visit a friend who lives in Colorado Springs, which is about sixty miles away from here.  We talked to one another by phone a few times, and I asked if he would like to visit me for a few days.  He agreed, and took a bus here on Wednesday.  He wanted to see what Denver looked like but most of those plans were dampened when the deep snows came.  I helped send him on his way to a mall this afternoon, and from there he will go back to Colorado Springs.  He is supposed to go back to Virginia on Sunday.   I have been considering trying to find someone to share an apartment with me, so the visit by this friend gave me an opportunity to see what it would be like living with someone else.  The experience was not a bad one, and it did have some good points.  It was nice not to be alone most of the time, and having someone nearby in bad weather gave me an added sense of security.  I am not sure that I am going to try and find a roommate at this time.  Nevertheless, I do think it is something worth looking into further.  I need to figure out how to find someone I might feel comfortable and safe with.   Quotes of Attitude:   “There is little difference in people but that little difference makes a big difference.
