I started taking my new pain medication last night. Shortly after taking just one pill, I could a notice a difference in the amount of pain I was having. There was a noticeable decrease in it. The Percocet not only helped the pain, but it enabled me to sleep much better. My doctor had prescribed a new medication for my UTI, but I have not started taking it yet because there are so many warnings on the instruction sheet that it has made me a little leery about taking it at all. Later today, I am going to try and put these worries aside and take at least one dose of the medication. If I have a bad side effect, I will stop at once. This morning I received an unexpected e-mail from my psychologist expressing her concern about my injuries and advising me that this kind of thing is "terribly stressful in every way you can imagine." She also asked me to let her know how I am doing either through e-mail or voice mail. I had already called her yesterday and left a voicemail, but she apparently did not get it, so I will send her a short e-mail today. My sister and I seem to have drawn closer together during the past week, probably because of the injuries I sustained. My relationship with my brother is not going too well right now. He has had a lot of problems during the past year, which may be having an effect on our relationship, so I am going to give him some distance again. He may contact me whenever he wants, but until then, I will not be contacting him. So glad your pain medication is helping and that your sister has been so supportive. I hope you have a happy holiday. I will be thinking of you. Blessings, Dancer.
