DECEMBER 20 -- UPDATE -- 4:30 PM I spent three hours at my doctor's office this morning. I had several x-rays and they show that I have what might be a small hairline fracture in my left foot. There is nothing to be done about that. Another x-ray showed that my left hip is badly deformed, which is probably the result of two operations I had on it when I was a child. During each of the operations, they inserted a metal pin and plate to try and turn my leg to a better angle. Each of the surgeries was a failure. They had wanted to do a third one, but I refused to let them. Today my doctor said that my hipbone is at an odd angle, which was probably caused by the surgeries. He said that I am probably experiencing a lot of pain due to the trauma of the injury I sustained on Sunday. He is prescribed Percocet, which is a stronger pain medication. I can take one to two tablets up to four times a day. I am not to exceed eight tablets in one day. I used this same medication about three years ago when I broke a rib, and it helped a lot. The doctor is not pleased with the home health care agency I am using. He asked his social worker to help me find another one. They both said the head of this agency is "bullying" me each time she calls, and yells at me about one thing or another. They feel that because she got away with it once or twice she now thinks she can do it all the time. I have also been encouraged to go ahead and see her with some members of my family just to show her that my family is going to support me and not let her get away with abusing me.
