December 18 -- UPDATE Looks like there will not be any dinner tonight. I think my PCP knocked on the front door around 4 PM, but I was on the phone and could not get to the door right away. She is supposed to wait a minimum of 15 minutes before leaving if she knocks and I do not answer. I seriously doubt if she was there more than three minutes. Immediately after getting off the phone (which was no longer than five minutes) I went to her apartment and knocked on her door, but she was apparently not there. Christmas or no Christmas, this is the last straw. No food tonight and earlier this morning no one was able to find some of the laundry that she washed -- washcloths, towels, and sheets. I had told her I was expecting some important mail today, and she did not get the key and look in my mailbox. Too many things are not getting done because of her. This is having a negative effect on my life, so it looks as though I am going to have to make a drastic choice and get someone to replace her. This has been an extremely hard decision for me to make, but I do not think I can put it off any longer. Whenever I have to make a change in personnel, I always feel as if I am a "bad" person. Nevertheless, the longer I put off making this change, the harder it will be to do it. I need to call the home health agency tomorrow morning and get things started right away.

You are absolutely NOT a bad person. You have to do what you need to do to take care of yourself and if she is not doing her job right then you probably should find someone else.
