The year 2007 is going out on a whimper, yell, and scream. Instead of just having pain in my back and neck, it has now increased to include an injury extending from my left knee up to, and including, my left hip thanks to the carelessness of the CNA who got me out of bed this morning. As he was sitting me in my wheelchair, he somehow managed to twist my left ankle, trapping my foot between my chair and his foot. When he heard me screaming, he quickly said, "Oh, that's my fault." The amount of pain that I had was so bad that it quickly brought tears to my eyes, and I was unable to sit up straight because it was causing me to lean to the side. As soon as he left my apartment, I rolled as fast as I could to my kitchen table where I got my pain medication. It has helped some and took effect within half an hour. Last night my PCP was two hours late and getting here. By the time she arrived, I had already ordered a pizza from Pizza Hut since I was not sure whether she was going to show up. She either failed to hear me, or chose to ignore what I was saying, because she asked me if I would like her to cook a pork chop for me. Once again, I told her that I was waiting on a pizza that I had ordered. She said that she had not understood me. Duh! She did some cleaning and got my basket of laundry ready to take to my friend's apartment, and then she sat down in the kitchen with me. I asked what she was doing. She said she was waiting on the pizza. I told her that she was not going to get any, so she might as well leave. As she was leaving, she said that she would return later with the laundry. She also left a bag of garbage in the center of my living room. She told my friend that she was going home to wash the laundry and then she would take a long hot shower. As it turned out, she lied to both of us. Instead of taking her shower, she went out on a date with some person -- not my friend to whom she is engaged. See also did not bring back my laundry. I have pretty much decided that after Christmas I am going to have her replaced with someone else. This is probably the second worst Christmas that I can remember. Today my depression is extremely bad, and if it were not for the holidays, I doubt if I would live to see the New Yea. My life has to start getting better soon. I cannot stand things the way they are now. Quotes of Attitude: “An old Arabian fable tells of a prince imprisoned in a castle which had thirteen windows. Twelve of these windows overlooked lovely scenes, while the thirteenth looked down on the black ash heaps of the city. Ignoring the twelve windows, the prince always looked out through the thirteenth. It is so often true that whether a person carries with him an atmosphere of gloom and depression or one of confidence and courage depends on his individual outlook.” James Keller

Is there anything I can do? Other than Weeble Mojo I mean?
Hugs to you.
Thank you for the nice comments. I appreciate the offer to help, but I think the only thing that can be done at this point is to wait and let the problems work themselves out. I cannot stand waiting! Jim
