Last night we had another four inches of snow, with another one or two predicted by the end of today. I am not entirely happy since it is prohibiting me from getting out.
My brother called last night to let me know that he had gotten a fiber optic Christmas tree for me. He will bring it here on Thursday, and one of his daughters and grandchildren will come along with him. From the time they arrive, I am giving them two hours to put the tree up and trim it until I have to leave for an appointment. I told him if he came Friday instead of Thursday, I would have the whole day free, but that did not work out with their schedules.
Prior to the Christmas season, I discussed purchasing gifts with my sister. She told me not to buy new books because they were her specialty. We talked on the phone today and she told me that she had been wrapping Christmas gifts yesterday. She said that she was wrapping a book when she happened to think that it looked familiar. As it turned out, she had accidentally bought two editions of the same book. I guess that she is not so much of a specialist when it comes to picking books and she thought she was supposed to be.
Quotes of Attitude:
“I seldom think about my limitations, and they never make me sad. Perhaps there is just a touch of yearning at times; but it is vague, like a breeze among flowers.”
