DO NOT DELETE! (THE FOLLOWING WAS WRITTEN AND POSTED YESTERDAY. I DO NOT KNOW WHO DELETED IT – OR WHY – BUT I DO NOT WANT IT HAPPENING AGAIN!)   When I woke up this morning, it was a nice balmy 8° outside.  We had a little more than 3 inches of snow and other parts of the city had up to a foot of it.  That is all I want for the rest of the year.   Since the weather was bad last night, with fog and snow, I went to bed three hours earlier than normal in order to try and accommodate the people who help me.  One of my CNAs could not come here because of a back injury, so her daughter (who works at a nursing home) came in her place.  She was very pleasant and knew exactly what to do for me.  It made the switch go quite well.   After I went to bed, I started receiving more phone calls than I would get in one week.  Unfortunately, I was unable to answer the calls because the cordless phone was dead.  Whoever had hung it up last, failed to place it in the cradle properly so it did not charge.   One of those who called, and who left a voicemail, had been one of the members of my Anxiety Group.  I had called her a couple times before last night, but she had never returned my calls until now.  She was the only person in my group with whom I felt a close connection.  I am planning on calling her back sometime tonight.   It looks as though some of the maintenance men are beginning to shovel some snow from the sidewalks in front of my apartment.  They make a good effort at trying to clear out a path from those of us who have disabilities first.   I do not have much planned today other than to watch a few videos and possibly some television shows.  I did manage to watch one Christmas-type show last night even though I was not in a good Christmas mood.  I am not sure that I will get that for this year for whatever reasons.   Quotes for Attitude:   “Ability is what you’re capable of doing.
