UPDATE My morning went very nicely, but the afternoon turned into another mess. I managed to get signed up with another health insurance agency under Medicare part D. Thanks to the Medicaid that I also have, I will have very little, if any, costs to cover. I was happy about that. This afternoon turned into a nightmare. Not the kind I have been having earlier in the week, but something timely and realistic. About 2:30 this afternoon, my wheelchair quit running. I could not get it running until four hours had passed. By then it had turned dark, and the apartment was getting cold. My PCP came and jiggled some wires, which enabled the chair to start moving again. That leads me to believe there must be a short circuit in the wiring When things like this happen, it seems like everybody in the world wants to contact me. My phone rang two different times and I was not able to get to it because my chair would not run. Thankfully, messages were left. I can return one call in the morning, and the other one does not need a reply. During the same period, two different people came to see me and knocked at the door. I do not like opening the door when I do not know who is on the other side, but today I had no choice. One was a man trying to get me to switch telephone carriers from Qwest to Comcast. I turned that one down. The second person was selling Schwann foods. I was not sure about that one, so he said he would be back on the 13th. I was going to mention other things this afternoon, but they will have to keep until tomorrow. They were of no earth-shattering importance to anyone but me. Nevertheless, they related to my previous entries, and I feel a need to comment on them further.
