Last night I decided to change my weekly routine by actually watching some videos instead of just talking about it. That worked out well until it got to the point where each one wound up having someone die and then there was a scene in a cemetery. I could have done without that on each of the two videos. I had felt good until the videos sent my mood spiraling downwards. I did not think that anything could make it worse, but I was mistaken. The people who put me to bed are usually here by 10 PM. Last night neither one had shown up by 10:30. I knew this spelled trouble. The telephone finally rang and it was one of my CNAs named Christine. She asked if the other CNA, named Renee had gotten here yet. I said no, and then asked if she was sick. After a long pause, she said no. There was another long pause before she said anything else. By then I knew that something was wrong. A short while later, Renée called. She wanted to know if Christine had gotten here yet. I said no and then explained about the other phone call. René told me she was locked out of her house. She said she would call back in 15 minutes, which she did. These two CNAs kept calling me repeatedly, until Renée finally said she would come put me to bed. While she was here, my phone rang again and she answered it. That turned out to be Christine. The two of them went through a similar dialogue to the ones before it with Christine saying that she was not sick. I thought to myself that if that were the case then she should have been here instead of talking on the phone. It was my feeling that Christine was far from being sober. If my CNAs want to drink, I would like them to do it after helping me rather than before doing so. This was not the first time that Christine had shown signs of being drunk. Although I like her, if this type of behavior continues I will have no choice but to ask that she be replaced.
