A Thanksgiving Miracle  When my telephone rang tonight, I barely gave it a thought until I looked at the caller ID and saw my brother's name.  Not having heard from him in such a long time, I almost thought that I was seeing things.   He and his wife have been "vacationing" at his brother-in-law's home in Arizona for about ten days.  I thought he sounded much better than he had when I last talked with him.  He told me not to move to Tucson because there were plenty of strip malls, rattlesnakes, and coyotes.    Hearing my brother's voice gave me a large sigh of relief as I had envisioned him either seriously ill or dead.  I am very glad I was wrong about both.   He said he had been thinking (which is always dangerous) about our mother.  It seems as though he had now taken closer looks at her life and his thoughts toward her were less harsh.   While I am still having difficulties in dealing with the PTSD connected with my mother, my brother said that he was willing to see my therapists with me if that would be of any help.  He never ceases to amaze me.   Now that I know my brother is alive and well I am surer that I will have a nice Thanksgiving.  Hearing from him does prove that miracles happen!
