6:30 PM My previous entry today did not have too much to say, but I was in a bad mood and thought that I would be safer writing something short but meaningful to me. This morning I went to the mental health clinic to see the psychiatrist who prescribes some of the medications I take. While we were talking, I said that I had told my therapist that I was considering quitting going to the clinic, and then she told me because of the number of relapses I had recently, they wanted me to continue attending group sessions. The psychiatrist then asked me if I had had the relapses as an excuse to keep going to the clinic. My answer was a firm NO. However, that one question of his angered me to the point where I could have spit nails. During the afternoon, my anxiety group therapist called me. She said she just wanted to see how I was doing this week. I think that was true because she has been doing it during the last several weeks. I told her that I was pretty down today because I had seen the psychiatrist who I had never liked ever since the first time I met him. I told her about the question he asked me, and said that upon hearing it, "I wanted to grab him by his scrawny neck, pull him up out of his chair, and then throw through the window." She asked if I considered his question to be an insult, and I said yes. After leaving his office I went down to wait for my ride home, which came after an hour and a half. At least I managed to get rid of some of my anger during that time. When I got home, I knew I needed to get rid of some more anger so I went to take an anxiety tablet, but grabbed the wrong bottle and accidentally doubled the usual dose, which is what I take prior to going to bed. I cannot say that it did not relax me because it did. In fact, it put me to sleep. It also relaxed me enough so that in spite of my difficulties using the telephone, I managed to call another person in my anxiety group. That was about the only good thing to happen during the afternoon. Maybe if I hang around long enough I will see the better part of life again. I don\'t like psychiatrists in general. I find them arrogant and annoying. Glad you could work through some of the anger and get some rest too. Blessings, Dancer.
