6:30 PM Although I have been feeling good lately, I started coming down somewhat today. Next Monday will be the last time that my anxiety group is going to meet. It is being shut down because of a lack of attendance. I really feel that this group has helped me a lot, and I am going to miss the strong support that I received from its members. Today I saw my psychologist who diagnosed another problem I have without my even asking her about it. I have had a strong fear of using the telephone for about fifty years. I use it if I absolutely have to, but really have to force myself hard. My psychologist says this is a form of PTSD. This diagnosis has really shocked me since I already have PTSD because of sexual abuse. I did not know that you could have more than one form of PTSD at the same time you have another. I am confused by this. There is no medicine I can take to solve this problem. The only way to resolve it is through practice and that comes through making phone calls. I do not want to do that, but was told that I need to start doing it immediately. My brother has the same fear, but I do not know if he has ever gotten the same diagnosis. I must remember to ask him during our next e-mail or conversation.
