9:35 A.M.ADVICE NEEDED  Today I need some advice.  Yesterday, the person who cooks dinner for me was 3 1/2 hours late getting here.  Instead of coming at four like he is supposed to, he arrived at 7:30.  This is the second day in a row he has been considerably late, and the second in a row that he has given me pretty much the same excuse.  Het has been putting open cans of food in the refrigerator to save them for later.  When one of my CNAs examined them later, she saw some mold in one can and the food was spoiled in another.   I could not figure out why he was so talkative until he practically leaned over me and breathed in my face.  Then I could detect a strong odor of alcohol, and realized that he was extremely drunk.   He also kept getting phone calls, which required him to leave my apartment temporarily.  I am sure he is buying and selling marijuana at the same time he is supposed to be working for me.   I have told him some of the things that he needs to do on a daily basis, but he ignores me or just does not want to do the work because it never gets done.   The primary reason that I have not called the agency and asked for a replacement is because this person is a friend of my best friend.  All four of my CNAs have told me that I need to call the agency and ask that they send someone else out to help me.   What should I do now?  Should I try and put up with him or should I call the agency, explain what is happening, and ask them to send someone different?   Quotes for Attitude:   “Any fact facing us is not as important as our attitude toward it, for that determines our success or failure. The way you thing about a fact may defeat you before you ever do anything about it. You are overcome by the fact because you think you are.”  Norman Vincent Peale

You need to see if he can be replaced with someone else, can you tell your best friend what\'s happening?

Thank you very much for these good suggestions. I will not be able to carry it out until tomorrow, so I guess he will have one more night to screw things up, which seems to come easily for him. I don\'t think it will be much of a problem getting a replacement. Jim

Jim you need to call the agency and let them know that he is showing up drunk,as to the selling of dope you need to get him as far away from you as you can.If he get`s busted at your place it could implicate you in his drug dealing so get rid of him QUICK!!!!Besides you don`t need that kind of temtation around you.

I talked with someone from the agency this morning, and they are going to replace this person early next week. It will be done in such a way that my name will not be mentioned as having asked for someone else. I think that will solve the whole problem. Jim
