UPDATE -- 5:59 PM My new PCP is doing a nice job of cooking, housecleaning, and taking care of my laundry for me. We have known one another for about five years, although we have not been exactly what one would consider friends. Although he is doing well for me so far, he has one bad habit, which I am concerned about. While I was eating dinner tonight, he asked if he could go outside for a few minutes. I said that was fine with me. When he returned I could tell that he had been using some drugs. His eyes were red and he was speaking in a funny manner. Since I have had a drug problem myself, I am reluctant to say anything to him. At the same time, I do not need another negative influence in my life. This is a problem that I do not know how to solve -- at least for the time being.

Hmmm...well Jim, since you know this person better than you would a new PCP, maybe you should say something to him yourself. Let him know it concerns you and you\'d rather he do it AFTER he is finished, and not during his time with you. Maybe let him know the alternative is to report him? It will then be his choice. Remember, HE works for YOU not vice versa. I shudder to think he may slip up in some way...possibly leaving the stove on etc. Your needs have to come first. I hope this all works out.
