Worries... worries... worries

In case nobody has noticed, little things in life seem to make me worry a lot.  Such is the way it has been for the past week.

My niece had a stress test today.  Her mother was with her.  The results did not show much of anything.  The doctor told my niece that she was having a silent reflux disorder.  My niece asked about the pain in her arms, and the doctor said he thought that was due to stress.  He said when that happens she should take some Maalox, and if it has not cleared up within half an hour then she should go to the ER.  My niece is not satisfied with that answer, so she and her husband are considering having her take an echocardiogram.  Personally, I think that will be a waste of time and money, but it is theirs and not mine.

I talked to one of the managers at the apartment complex were I live, and told her there was an illness in my family and that I was not sure that I wanted to renew my lease for another year.  She said I could rent it by the month, and that I would not have to pay any extra cost.  That sounded good to me, and it eliminated one of my worries.

This morning I decided to go to the bank.  After rolling almost two blocks in the hot sun, I came upon some highway department signs warning of construction ahead.  With my typically bad luck, these signs were placed right in the middle of the sidewalk.  I was hot and tired so that ended my morning stroll.

Not one to give up too easily, after dinner tonight I decided to take another stroll down the same sidewalk to see if the signs were still there.  Unfortunately, they were.  However, I did find a way around them, which includes having to roll in the street for a short distance before getting back on the sidewalk.  Before the end of the week, I intend to make another attempt at going downtown to my bank.  They may put obstacles in my way, but I am adept at learning how to get around them. smiley-smile.gif

Good for you! and I am glad to hear that the landlord is working with you on the rent. Don\'t let those obstacles keep you down!
