I am fighting a very large internal battle today. With all the problems that seem to have come upon me at one time, I am having a difficult time dealing with them. In the past, I would "run away" from them by using drugs. While I am tempted to do the same thing now, a voice inside of me says that I have been clean for nine months and that while drugs may make me feel better for a day, the problems will still be there tomorrow. This temptation has been taunting me all night. I feel as though I am in the middle of a “tug of war” contest with each side pulling me with all its might. It would be very easy to give into it, but this is similar to a war and I do not intend to be on the losing side. Today I need to do some banking, which will provide me with the cash that I could use to buy the drugs. However, the money is needed to pay for bills, medicine, and food and other essentials of life. They take precedence over my former bad habit. Motivating Quotes: “When nothing seems to help, I go and look at a stonecutter hammering away at his rock perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it. Yet at the hundred and first blow it will split in two, and I know it was not that blow that did it - but all that had gone before.” Jacob Riis

You are a strong person and can get through things. And everybody gets tempted, I know I do daily, but it boils down to just two choices. To give in or not to give in. Take care!
