My conscience is causing some problems for me...   I am following the recommendation of my doctor, and planning on switching to yet another home health care agency.  On Thursday, I will be meeting with two schedulers from the company I am planning on changing to within a few weeks.  I have spoken with them by phone and they said they wanted to meet with me in order to see what they could do to help me.  That sounds positive so far.   Even though I am not receiving such great care from the home health care agency I am with now, my doctor’s orders have been followed and extra caregivers are being provided for me.  A new CNA started working for me last night.  She seemed somewhat distant and cold, but that may have been the result of what I call the "first night jitters."   I feel as though I am doing something unethical by interviewing people from another agency while the caregivers from this agency are still helping me.  On the other hand, if I told these caregivers what I am planning on doing, I suspect that the quality of care I am receiving now would deteriorate.  I cannot afford to let that happen, so I am trying to keep any word of the possible change a secret.   At first thought, it would seem as if I am in a lose-lose situation.  Looking at it from a different perspective, if I go from this agency to a better one, the care I get, as well as my quality of life, should improve.   My conscience should be clear, but it still feels as if I am doing something underhanded.   Life Quotes:   “Half our life is spent trying to find something to do with the time we have rushed through life trying to save.” -- Will Rogers
