I was in a good mood yesterday and had hoped it would last for a while. As my luck would have it, some one put a small dent into it this morning. My phone rang early this morning before I was even awake. I closed my eyes, hoping to get a few more minutes sleep. Before I even had a chance, the phone rang again. I answered it and someone started talking immediately. It my nurse. Oh boy! That was just who I needed to talk to early on Tuesday morning. I did not recognize her voice so I asked who was calling. She told me. She also said she was on her way to see me and if CNA was not here to ask her to remain here until she arrived. As it turned out, my nurse intended to do the same procedure today that she did Saturday. She said she had gotten a report that I was having some bleeding and pain. I guess it was not enough that she hurt me one time, so she had to come back and have a second whack at it! She was working on me when my CNA arrived. My CNA had gone to her office yesterday and made a report on the condition she found me in on Saturday night. She had blamed that (rightfully so) on my nurse. As if I did not have enough trouble already, my CNA, and nurse started having disagreements almost immediately. My nurse did not like having a CNA make a report criticizing her. She started putting my CNA down right in front of me. That was not the thing to do. She asked my CNA where some of my lotion was, and rather than hand it to her, my CNA pointed her finger toward the item. My nurse should have quit while she was ahead. She finally turned her attention back to me, where it should have been to start with. At this point, she asked me, "Are you hiding anything else from us?" I said if I had any other problem, I would be telling my doctor on Friday rather than her today. I do not think she liked that a bit. That is too bad. I am still upset, but I am not going to say too much until I find another agency to go with. Saying too much now could just make life harder on me. The moral of this morning's entry is this: What do you get when you cross an RN with a CNA? Five letters that do not mean anything.
