I am a little bit behind this morning... Almost any other day I would have my journal entry completed and put on DS by now. I took a short break last night in order to keep whatever sanity I might have left. The woman who does my grocery shopping for me, as well as prepare my meals, do my housekeeping, and goes to the pharmacy for me, prepare my dinner and then went to the store to try and get four prescriptions for me one more time. Upon her return, she said that I would not be happy. She was right. She told me that the pharmacist would not let me have the medicines because I did not have the right Medicaid card, and then he said that the statement I got on Friday authorizing me to have the medications was not what he needed. I almost blew my stack, but managed to keep my mouth shut. After the woman left, I decided that if someone else could not get what I needed then I would get it myself. I rolled up to this pharmacy, using sidewalks where they existed, and just the street where they did not exist, and into the pharmacy for the first time in three years. It was a new experience, and not a bad one at that. The pharmacist was very helpful. I showed her my AARP card and ask her if that was what was needed in order for me to get my medicines. She said it was. She got what I needed, put the my backpack on my chair, got my change, signed everything for me, and I was on my way in less than five minutes. I made my way home safely, not getting struck by any cars, and not picking up any strangers. I even got back early enough to see the auto race that I had been afraid of missing. That would have been the final straw. This morning I managed to finish writing "My Ideal Day" for my anxiety group. It may not be exactly what my therapist wanted, but at least I am pleased with it. Tuesday morning my new healthcare agency begins working with me. Today I am a nervous wreck, but that always happens whenever I go with a new agency. Things will either straighten out by tomorrow night or else I will be in a straitjacket. lol Marriage Quotes: “When an actor marries an actress they both fight for the mirror.” -- Burt Reynolds
