I should have listened...   On Monday, my therapist told me I would be having problems if I kept my emotions and anger within me.  Since I always know better than everyone else does, I ignored her.  That was a mistake as I learned today.   The woman who does my cooking for me came this afternoon and said she was not supposed to be here according to the agency.  She had been told that I had already left the agency.  Since she knew that I did not have anyone else to help me, she came here anyway.  That was anger point number one.   She also went to a pharmacy to try and get some medicine for me.  They told her I could not have it because it would not go through Medicaid part D. When I heard that, I went livid!  That was anger point number two.   Although it was 4:45, I picked up the phone and angrily called my case manager.  She had left for the day.  I tried getting someone on-call for emergencies.  The line became disconnected.  My anger became greater.  I called again.  This time I left a message, which I do not think she will soon forget.  I explained the situation and reminded her that my Medicaid had been reinstated on July 23.  I asked that she call me back first thing in the morning.  She will not do it, so I will call her between six and 7 AM.   I also called my current home health care agency and asked for the clinical care supervisor.  She was gone for the day.  I left another message telling her that I had not left the agency yet, and still needed someone to prepare my meals for me.  I also said that my CNA had told me that she (the supervisor) would either call or e-mail me this week, but nothing had happened yet.  I told the receptionist that I wanted to hear from the supervisor first thing in the morning.   The third thing I did this afternoon was to call the new agency and ask them to go ahead and start looking for people to help me.  They asked what happened to my current CNA who was going to go there with me. I said to forget him.   I am tired of people playing games with me.  I do have a breaking point, and they finally reached it today.  When I get as angry as I am right now no one in their right mind, wants to be anywhere near me.   Tonight I can still remember my therapist telling me that I should let go of my anger a little bit at a time.  I hate to admit this but I should have listened.

I\'m glad you made those calls, Jim. What is with these people?? Does the right hand not know what the left is doing???
Okay, lesson learned. Keep getting angry because obviously this gets results. I hope everything works out.

Don\'t be so hard on yourself. Dealing with these agencies can be a real pain. As Jana said, expressing your anger got you results. Thinking of you, DD.
