Evening Feeling Real Guilty I did something this afternoon for which I should probably feel good, but I do not. I found a home health care agency that I thought could better meet my needs than the one that I have now. As a result, I arranged for them to start working for me effective September 1. My present company has not been entirely bad to me so I felt an obligation to give it some notice of my intentions. Added to that is the fact that I feel guilty for getting another agency. I know the change is good for my own well-being, but I suspect my leaving is going to hurt at least one person and I do not want that to happen. I can always get out of this by backing out, but I do not think that would be best for me. What I have done is weighing me way down, and I know it is going to be on my conscience all week -- if not longer. The new agency has agreed to all the terms I wanted; getting me up at 7 AM and putting me to bed at 10 PM. I have tried for two years to get my present company to agree to this and they would not. No matter what I say here, I am sure this is going to keep me awake for several nights. I hope I have not made a bad mistake!

It is never a mistake to get your needs met. Talk to that one person you think you may hurt and explain why you need a different company. You never know but that one person may need another company too.
Jim if the one person truely cares about your needs as I said before they will understand. I had to do the same thing and miss so individuals but they call me now and again and it is okay. Hang in there change is hard, but sometimes for the best.
