Thursday, July 5, 2007 8:45 AM   What with the Fourth of July holiday here yesterday, things sure were "rocking" last night.  Although fireworks are illegal in this "backwards" state, there sure were plenty of them going off. Thanks to that "wonderful" caregiver of mine, I was sent to bed early just as if a parent would punish a child.  At least I had the TV to watch from bed.  It is amazing what wonderful fare they had on last night.  They even showed reruns of the news -- not new news but old news! From my bedroom I could hear the fireworks being shot off outside.  The great festivities seemed to go on forever.  In reality, they "only" lasted for two and a half hours.  The only reason they stopped at that time was because the police showed up -- they stopped fast then! After that, nature put on a fireworks show of its own.  Thunder and lightning hit quickly with over an inch of rain in 15 minutes. I was supposed to go to the mental health clinic this morning in order to try and get an antidepressant.  However, I had to cancel that plan when I realized that the maintenance men here at the apartment complex were supposed to come over this morning and make some repairs for me.  So far, I have only been waiting on them for two months.  Yes, you did not read that wrong -- it has been two months since I first put in my request for repairs. Sometime this afternoon my nurse is supposed come see me.  I never know from week to week what time she will show up.  I am not looking forward to seeing her this week since we both misunderstood one another during the weekend.  In an e-mail, I made some type of comment, which led her to believe that I planned on killing myself.  In reality, I had been talking about one thing, while she had been talking about something entirely different.  After a lot of e-mail swapping we finally got on track.   A Daily Thought:   “Success is getting what you want. Happiness is liking what you get.” -Unknown
