UPDATE Saturday, June 30, 2007 5 PM   My sister took her daughter on a two-day mini vacation this weekend.  For my niece, that meant leaving her two young children with her husband.  Lucky him!  He called last night and asked if he could come over today, along with the children, and use my computer.  Since he and his wife gave me the computer in the first place, and since he has worked on it several times, I did not think I could say no. They came over shortly before noon.  The oldest girl (named Magdalena -- and called Mags) is almost 2 1/2 years old, and the youngest (Becca) is about seven months.  Mags walked in just as if she owned the place, wearing a sign suit and sunglasses with blue lenses.  She loves Oreo cookies, which I always have on hand for her.  I knew she had eaten at least one, because she had chocolate smeared all over her face.  She went into the other room to "help” her dad with a computer, leaving me with her younger sister Becca.  Everything was going fine until all of a sudden Becca started screaming.  That got to my nerves in less than three seconds, so I called her dad to come take care of her.  I do not mind babysitting as long as the children are in their teens.  LOL After all of them had left I went to use my computer and quickly found out that the sound was no longer working.  In addition to that, there were five loose wires and cables dangling from the rear of the tower.  I tried to figure out what belonged where, but not being a technician, I just did not have a solution.  Therefore, I called my niece's husband, and explained the situation to him.  He said he was not worried about the cables, but he was somewhat concerned about the lack of sound.  He said it is still was not working by Wednesday that he would come over and look at it than -- if I could wait that long.  I said that would be perfectly fine. I was a little tired by the time they left, so I decided to take a short nap.  After what seemed to be only a few minutes -- but was actually about 45 minutes -- the phone began ringing.  I tried ignoring it and it finally stopped.  A few minutes later, it started raining again.  I decided that someone was trying to be too insistent and as punishment, I would not answer the phone.  However, curiosity got the better of me and after the phone was done ringing, I went to check the caller ID and saw my sister's phone number listed there.  I called her number thinking that she might have had some type of problem and had not gone out of town after all, but her stupid boyfriend answered her phone.  He tried telling me that he had been calling a friend and that he had accidentally called my number twice.  Since I was aggravated at him, I just hung up the phone. There was just no way to nap after that.  The woman or does my shopping and cooking arrived with my groceries, and they she cooked dinner for me.  After that, I watched the end of a NASCAR race. (I do not rely like NASCAR races, but there was not much worthwhile to watch elsewhere.) Later this afternoon there is going to be Indy-Car racing, which I really like to watch.  If anybody calls or knocks on my door before this is over, I will not be home.  I am entitled to have some weekend fun too.

Hello Jim,I`m the same way with kid`s,I am fine with them until they start to scream and then it is time for the parent`s to take them somewhere I am not at,preferably back home.I say this because I have had a brain injury and ever since I can`t stand loud shreaking noises,it really get`s my nerves going.I do like kid`s though, just wish that they could learn to be more adult at times..lol..I also like Indy racing and Formula one racing and Grand Prix racing but I just can`t sit through a NASCAR race.My brother will sit and watch them all day if he could.Hope the rest of your week-end goes well and yes you do have the right to have some fun also.Talk to you later.M.
