Thursday, June 21, 20077:15 AM I got up at 5:51 AM this morning, and the temperature was already boiling at a temperature of 81°.  They are predicting that it will go to a nice warm high of 100°.  That's a bit too much for me!Today I am not seeing red.  Yes, I have been in a bad mood for most of the week, but I am working on a couple of things to get my life back in order again.  There are no promises that this will happen, but at least I'm going to give it a try.I want to give a great big thanks to everybody who tried to raise my spirits by sending hugs and messages as well as leaving thoughtful comments to my journal entries.  I really cannot say how much that means to me.Since there has not been much of good news here lately, I decided to include something in this journal entry that I came across recently.  Hopefully, some of you will enjoy it. Guaranteed to make you smile.... [ Not proven to be fact - Only Neil Armstrong would know for sure] On July 20, 1969, as commander of the Apollo 11 Lunar Module, Neil Armstrong was the first person to set foot on the moon. His first words after stepping on the moon, "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind," were televised to Earth and heard by millions. Just as he reentered the lander, he made the enigmatic remark: "Good luck, Mr. Gorsky." Many people at NASA thought it was a casual remark concerning some rival Soviet Cosmonaut. However, upon checking, there was no Gorsky in either the Russian or American space program. Over the years many questioned Armstrong as to what the "Good luck, Mr. Gorsky" statement meant, but Armstrong always just smiled. On July 5, 1995, in Tampa Bay, Florida, while answering questions following a speech, a reporter brought up the 26 year old question to Armstrong. This time he finally responded. Mr. Gorsky had died and so Neil Armstrong felt he could answer the question. In 1938 when he was a kid in a small Midwest town, he was playing baseball with a friend in the backyard. His friend hit a fly ball, which landed in his neighbour's yard by the bedroom window. His neighbours were Mr. and Mrs. Gorsky. As he leaned down to pick up the ball, young Armstrong heard Mrs. Gorsky shouting at Mr. Gorsky, "Sex! You want sex?! You'll get sex when the kid next door walks on the moon!"

I love it!! Your writing has a witty inspirational aspect to it. I\'m not surprised that you were a journalist. And just because you no longer are employed as a writer does not mean that there is not perhaps a better use for your skill...helping people throughout the world to see things in a better light. I\'m glad to have found you here. Peggy
