Friday, June 1, 2007 7:45 AM I do not feel like doing anything today. That includes writing a journal entry, but I want to make this a daily thing. Last night my caregiver lived up to his commitment for not putting me to bed before 8:30. That was a pleasant surprise. Even more surprising was the time he did show up -- 10 PM. I think he went from one extreme to another, but I am not complaining. This morning he did get me up a bit early -- 5:30. I am still moving around in a haze. I need to call my sister today, and let her know that the microwave oven she bought me last week has already quit working. She seems to have a habit for buying things that do not last very long. I can already imagine her yelling about this! She will just have to make an exchange somewhere, if she can find the receipt. My brother is officially retiring today, so I want to call him and wish him congratulations. At the same time, I would like to talk with him concerning the two rumors he heard about me at the family get-together. First, I have not gone back to using drugs. I am willing to let him come to my apartment and search it for drugs whenever he wants. I am also willing to have drug tests whenever he wants with the understanding that he pays for them. Second, although he had been partially a right about my not wanting to go to the family get-together, I had arranged for transportation there and back and paid $15 for it. I am not sure I will ever be able to convince him of this, but the best I can do is to try. A Daily Thought: “It is never to late to be what you might have been.” -George Eliot

I just want to shake that guy till his teeth rattle!
Good luck with your brother~ Have a better day Jim~
I\'ve been reading about your bro the last few weeks. I hope that persistance will pay off! Maybe it\'s time to sit down and have that talk. About forgiving and trust. Wiping the slate clean. I can tell you really want a better relationship with him, and I am sure he feels the same, even though he\'s obviously conflicted about how to handle it.
I\'m not much of a pray-er, but I\'ll keep you in my thoughts and hope good things for you!!!!
But remember - even if you never have the best relationship with him - you can have something and that\'s better than nothing. Also that YOU are a fantastic person. I really mean that Jim!!!!
That\'s great about your caregive Jim, I hope it lasts and I agree with Scarlett I\'d like to rattle his teeth I have seen what wrongful conviction has done to so many people
Bless You and I hope today is good for you
