Nothing I've done today has gone right. I talked with my sister on the phone about several things, including my needing to get a new microwave oven. She offered to get one for me and I said okay. She brought it to my apartment and we decided that it was too small. It might have fit in a dollhouse. So my sister wound up taking it back to the store, and will bring back another one sometime this week.
I called my mental health clinic and talked with my doctor's nurse about getting my prescriptions refilled since I've been out of medicine for about a week. She agreed with me that I should not have had to stop taking them especially the antidepressants. She then told me to come over to the clinic today and talk with the nurses so they could arrange for me to get new ones. I reminded her that I was disabled and would be unable to get there for two days because I would have to arrange for special transportation. She said she'd forgotten about that and was glad that I reminded her. She said she would connect me with the nurses, and I was to tell them what was going on so that they could give me new medicines.
When I was switched to the nurses, my bad luck continued. Apparently the nurses were busy probably drinking coffee and talking to each other -- and I was given voice mail. I left a very detailed message about what had occurred during the past week and the fact that I really needed that medication. I left my name and phone number and asked that someone call me back as soon as possible. I even had the voicemail sent as an emergency. It has now been seven hours since that time, and no one has returned my call. I'm ticked off again.
I have made arrangements for a ride to the medical clinic Wednesday morning. I am determined to get some medication even if I have to stay there all day. I am not going to leave without it even if it means getting arrested in the process. I can be just as stubborn as anyone else!
Then there is the question of that counseling, which is still up in the air. My sister advised me not to accept spiritual counseling. Her intentions were good, but that does not help my overall situation.
It's only Monday afternoon, and I already feel as if I've lived through a whole week. I'm getting tired, losing energy, and beginning to be discouraged about everything. When the day started I had planned on being positive about everything, but that has changed drastically.
Life sucks!

Don\'t give up Jim. You have a plan set and if you stick to it, you WILL get results. Make a note to tell the nurses that this is NEVER to happen again. Since it\'s not easy for you to get to them, they should be coming to you. Do they not have a delivery service that can bring the meds to you when you get low? Stand your ground! This is an outrage that you have gone through this!
The nurses are at one end of the hallway and their pharmacy is at the other end. The pharmacy has been trying to get the medicine since LAST Monday! They haven\'t had any luck either. Once the pharmacy gets it, they will send it to me by overnight mail. I\'ve known some very good nurses in my life, but these don\'t belong in that category.
Can you not take your scripts faxed to a pharmacy near you that delivers?? They should definetly have that available most offices do. They just want to make the money there if you are willing to go with it
In your case it is\'nt working.
Spiritual counciling is wonderful if you have faith. It comes from the point of Faith. So if God is a part of your life, it can be a tremendous help and Ministers, Priests etc. certainly know how to council one.
