I'm jinxed! And I'm really pissed off! It looks like I'm not going to our family get together after all. A company called Access-A-Ride provides a curb to curb transportation service for me, especially on long distance trips. It was supposed to take me to Boulder today. After being nearly two hours late, I learned that their driver had gone to the wrong building, waited ten minutes for me, and then left. I learned this after I called the company and talked to the dispatcher. He maintained it was my fault and refused to send another vehicle after me.
I called customer service and filed a complaint against the company. I should get a return call tomorrow, but that will not do me any good today. This is not the first time a mistake like this has happened, but that doesn't matter -- it shouldn't happen at all! There is no excuse for something like this happening, especially when I made my reservation for the ride three days in advance.
Now I have to call my brother and sister and explain the situation to them. They will not be happy, but that's not exactly my fault either. They'll just have to live with it like I do because there is no other option.
Since I did not expect to be home for dinner, I told my caregiver that he would not have to be here to provide dinner for me. Now that I will be here after all, I've tried calling him on his cell phone, but he won't answer. He always answers his phone. I suspect he knows I'm calling him, and he's just trying to avoid more work. So now I'm angry at him too.
I'm not about to starve because I can always get something from Pizza Hut. Thankfully, they do deliver.
This is typical of the way my life has been going for more than a year. Very few good things have happened -- mostly bad ones have occurred. Only occasionally does something go right for me. This happens day after day, week after week, and month after month! It is no wonder why I get so depressed and remain that way.
I need for something good to happen in my life -- but I won't count on it!

Jim, I\'m so sorry for yet another disapointment for you
I don\'t even know what to say
The stigma and lack of knowlege for those confined to chairs desparately needs to change
what you went through today is just plain wrong they should have sent another driver. There is no excuse for this
I hope you are able to rest well tonight and let it go untill you can deal with the management tomorrow
I\'d like to tell them what I think of them, their lack of training and thoughtlessness
I\'m sorry they took away what should have been an enjoyable day
Bless You
Love Jan
Been there. It sucks. I am sorry that you had to miss you family get together. I hope that you have a better day tomorrow. The service where I live has made me miss work and school at times. They want us to be independant but do not care that the resources they give us to use suck royally.
It would appear that my Weeble mojo needs a tune-up... but still, even in malafunction, it can\'t protect idiots from themselves...
