As the week is winding to a close, I'm finally starting to feel better. The internal anger that I had earlier in the week, has pretty much left.
It's too bad that everything can't either be all good or all bad -- instead of half of one and half of another. Yesterday I got my new hearing aids, which are terrific. I could probably hear an ant crawling across the carpet. Well, maybe they're not that good, but pretty close. I was happy until I got home and then learned that my microwave oven had bit the dust. Just when I think that nothing else can go wrong, the roof caves in. I guess that's part of life.
Sunday we are having a small family get-together about a 45-minute drive (and a $15 round-trip ride) from where I live. This was put together by my brother, which makes me wonder what he's up to now. We have not had a good relationship throughout our lives, and did not see each other very often. But he goes through these periods when he tries to be Mr. Good Guy. It will last a month or so and then he will back off and be a stranger again. I've gotten used to it as much as I can, but I'm still not happy with the situation.
I'm going to spend most of today watching some videos, listening to good music, and reading a book. As long as I'm in a good mood I might as well milk it for all I can get.

I\'m so glad you are feeling better, Jim. As for the microwave, when it rains, it pours. My coffee maker just bit the dust today. Thank goodness I have a spare :o) Have a great weekend. (((hugs)))
I am sure that the new hearing aids will help. bummer about the microwave, I know how that is. Good luck with the family situation.
