7:30 AM

This is my third attempt at writing something in my journal this morning. The other two tries were not so hot. That might have something to do with the fact that I got up at 5:30 this morning with the result being that I was brain-dead. I guess that's better than just being plain old dead -- but not much.

When I opened up DS, I happily saw that there was a friend request. I'm always pleasantly surprised when this happens. I think the surprise comes from my not being too happy with me during the past several years. Then when something good like this occurs, I usually feel like I dont deserve it.

On Saturday I had a pretty bad panic attack. It really took me by surprise. Maybe it would not have happened if I had taken all of my medication during the day. But I don't like the idea of being medicated just to stay well, so I cut back when I can and where I can. I suspect doing that sets me up for a big fall. Splat!

The best thing that has happened this week has been the end of Mother's Day. I know this is a wonderful day for millions of people throughout the country, but I am not one of them. In order to understand it properly one would have to have a better insight of my family dynamics. That will not be forthcoming today.

If the ease with which I am writing this is any indication, I am going to have a bad week. I can feel that downward feeling about to start right now. Hopefully things will be better by tomorrow.

A Daily Thought:

When I hear somebody say, "Life is hard," I am always tempted to ask, "Compared to what?"

Meds are meds. THey will do what they are intended to do. I advise taking them. Yo-yo-ing around with meds its a recipe for disaster. I used to worry about \'being medicated\' until I really thought about it:
Would I go without water, food, sleep, potassium, magnesium, vitamins? No. I\'d prefer to spend less money on all these things, but that cannot be helped. I need them to be healthy.

Thank you for the sound advice. I just took a med which I had intended on skipping this morning. After reading your comment I changed my mind.

I too am glad that Mother\'s Day is over with-I am sure many enjoy the day, yet it causes alot of pain for many- those who have recently lost a mother (mine passed away this past January)- those who have had children- only to see them pass away-especially at an early age- those who do not know who their mom is-actually i was blessed to have 2 mothers- my real mom died when i was 13 months old- so yes i am sad, i did not get to do many of the things i wished i would have been able to with her. Then my dad remarried 4 yrs later. So i encourage you to try to find the good out of today, b/c that\'s what we have been given for the moment. Thank you for the flowers you sent me the other day, i appreciated them very much. I would like your imput, if you have any- please read from my journal from this past week, i am not sure of the day, yet i wrote about my 18 y/o son leaving for the military-it was probably this last past Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Well, i wish for you a peaceful day-remember FIND that certain thing- music, video book, craft that you enjoy and reunite yourself with your old friend-you will be glad you did!!!!! My neighbor, sits on his front pourch and a squirrel comes and takes a cracker from him each morning!! It is so COOL to watch!!!! Actually this little squirrel would eat him- my neighbor- out of house and home-if he\'d let him. Have you ever seen a squirrel so FAT that he couldn\'t run up a tree? Should you see one, you\'ll know he is from Texas and he\'s been eating crackers!!!!!! Take care. Pat

Cutting back on meds can really hurt you. I\'ve been there and ended up on my butt.
Just as a diabetic would fail if they stopped taking insulin, we have a controlable illness not a cure for it.
Bless You my friend I hope the week will be brighter than the anticipation
