Each community here is pretty much alike although there are some differences. I joined another one last Thursday and as of today, I'm not too happy with the results. I did not expect to be greeted with a red carpet and a brass band, but I did think more than one person would contact me. I was wrong.
Maybe I expect too much from people. Or maybe I'm too sensitive when others do not live up to my expectations. But when I looked under topics and saw that two people had joined the same community with one getting 25 responses and the other only getting one, I think that something is definitely out of kilter.
But I'm not going to waste all my time complaining about this. I mention it because I thought maybe other people here might have had the same experience. It's too bad this happens because DS is such a great place in many other ways.
Another weekend is here, and I intend to do pretty much what I did during the last one -- almost nothing. I have a book to finish, five videos to watch, and later this morning there are time trials for the Indianapolis 500 mile race, unless that gets rained out.

I joined a community as well, but it was me that did the mailing and I found that since I contacted more people and connected with on this part of the site I havt sort of forgotten about the commuity. I just check from time to time. I hope you are a little better my friend
