Having lived in Virginia for more than 20 years, I was shocked and saddened by the events which occurred there yesterday. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families, relatives, and friends of those who were needlessly and unmercifully killed.

There is nothing I can say, that has not already been said by others. Theoretically, school campuses should be places of safety. Realistically speaking, that cannot happen, unless one wants to live in a police state.

We can take a little comfort in the knowledge that the person who took all these young lives will never be walking on this earth again. Although there will not be closure through a public trial, all of us must take solace in the knowledge that this killer will have a final judgment day.

A Daily Thought:

Love your children a little more today, for we know not how long they may be with us.
