Sometimes life just doesn't work out the way we plan. It doesn't matter if it's a weekday, weekend or even a holiday. That was the case today.
I was supposed to have Easter brunch with my niece and her family. I had arranged for a ride to take me there. It was part of a door-to-door service. I was supposed to leave here, between 9:15 and 9:45 AM. It is 10:45 AM, and my ride is still not here and it is not going to be here.
I made some phone calls and learned that the driver apparently went to the wrong place. Who ever lived there, told him that I" was not going today.
I've called my niece and explained the situation to her. To say that she is not very happy would be the understatement of the year. I'm a bit upset, but things could be much worse. At least I have a family that cares about me.
I hope that everybody reading this has a very happy Easter!

MY DAY DID NOT GO AS PLANNED EITHER-MY TWO OLDEST SONS-19,AND 18- MADE THEIR PLANS FOR TODAY...AT THE LAST MINUTE- SO THEY HAVE BEEN GONE ALL DAY-IT IS NOW 9:17- CST- SO MY HUSBAND LARRY, HE TOLD ME HE APPRECIATED WHAT I HAD DONE- EVER SO SIMPLE- COOKIE- SHE ENJOYED HER TINY TIBITS OF TURKEY- WE WERE ALL WARM, HAD PLENTY TO EAT-SO I LEARNED TO ACCEPT THE DAY AS IT CAME-THAT\'S ALL ANY OF US CAN DO. Hey, I went to in laws for Easter lunch, Mother in law was upset with me cause didn\'t invite her to my daughter\'s slumber party, whoda thunk?
ON top of that, wound up across table from od high school teacher I hated and called her a nasty word about 14 years ago. I don\'t know if she remembered that, but she did recognize my face, and it was a bit awkward to say the least.
