Ok, I'm angry again. This is starting to sound like a broken record, I know. But I'm up and moving around before seven, which is early for me, and my caregiver asks if I need anything else. I gave everything a cursory glance and told him no, and I'd see him tonight.

After he left, I intended to get my hearing aid (the one that works), but can't find it in its usual place - the kitchen table. I searched the place as much ad I could, and got angrier every minute that passed.

My caregiver always has his cellphone glued to his ear. So I called him to find out where he put the hearing aid. What happened? I got his voice mail, so I left a clear and precise message about the situation. An hour has passed and he hasn't returned my call. I'm positive he won't because I know him too well.

It's strange that whenever I first start with a home health care agency, everyone is very nice to me and seem to almost go out of their way to help me. But, as months and years pass by, most of the people become lazy and start sloughing off. Maybe what's even worse is that because I like some of them so well, I ignore the fact that they haven't done the things they are supposed to do. I'm just as guilty as they are, except they take money for not doing their jobs.

So, I'm wasting my time and energy sitting here venting, when I should probably be looking for another agency. I haven't reached the point where I will feel comfortable doing that. However, I'm working on a plan that I know will absolutely force me to make the changes. More about that on another day.

Aren\'t you seeing the therapist today? Remember to tell her, if now show her how angry you are. I used to work for an agency like that before nursing school and it\'s called \"complacent\", and we are all guilty of that to a certain degree. Or burn-out, I don\'t know what this guy\'s problem is, but I hope he calls you or you have found it by now. Call his supervisor if you have to, I\'m sure he will return their call! You are not a broken record, in fact I think the more you talk about it, open up about it and are honest with yourself about your anger issues, it just may help you see them for what they are....thoughts....just thoughts, maybe you can find the basis for them. Jim, you are a very intelligent person with very real feelings, only they are intensified like the rest of us and make you feel crappy. My fear thoughts do the same to me. I like your daily thought. On that note, hey, the sun must be shining in Denver today....lucky for you.
