Yesterday was pretty much of a bummer. Got one hearing aid adjust so I can hear out of it again. After getting back home, it started making such a loud squealing noise that I can't wear it. The other one can't be repaired. Now I'll have to go back next week.

The ride I had to bring me home was a real mess. It was almost two hours late picking me up, and I had to wait out in the hot sun all that time.

My caregiver had prepared a meal for me, but by the time I got home, the food was cold. I ended up ordering pizza.

All in all. it was not one of my better days.

A Daily Thought:

There are two kinds of people in the world: those who make excuses and those who get results. An excuse person will find any excuse for why a job was not done, and a results person will find any reason why it can be done. Be a creator, not a reactor. -- Alan Cohen, A Deep Breath Of Life

Uh-oh, I\'m an excuse person. Must work on that. At the same time, not always GIVEN THE CHANCE to get results, but that\'s a whole other talk show. Being assertive and being ladylike often colliding in my era of upbringing. JimK, you\'ve planted a seed of train of thought though, now to nurture it!

Thank you for that thought...I have been a excuse person for so long, guess it has been too hard to own up to being a creator.
Be part of the solution not the problem, eh?
Love you Jim!!!
Sorry about your ride and all that. DO you go thru a dial a ride type of service? I would almost complain! My mom has soooo many problems with her hearing aids. She gets terrible ear infections so she cant wear the inner ear aids, instead she has an old fashioned type of bone conducting aid that she wears like a headband and it rests on the bone behind her ear. For all the years she has worn it she has these terrible grooves in the bone behind her ear. I know how frustrating the hearing aid world is...Sometimes my mom just cries and cries (she never does that either, she barely cried at my sister\'s funeral!) I hope that you can get them straightened out as soon as possible.
Good luck Darlin\'

Hi Jim, I like your daily thoughts...I too suffer from excus-itis, right now I\'m feel so paralyzed with anxiety/depression, can\'t get out of my own way...excuse me. Sorry you had a bad day, move over, so did I. One thing to be grateful for: hot sun, wish we had some here in upstate NY, the cloudiest place on earth. Hope the thing with your hearing aid is fixed soon and your days get better...I\'m right there with you...you\'re not alone.
