Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Everyone!
I hope everything enjoyed the holidays, whether you found out you are having your Christmas Miracle, or if you're just trying to get through the holiday. We all have one thing to be thankful for, and that is our health. I've been reflecting this holiday and I haven't mentioned this on this site before, but my Aunt (45 and previously healthy, beautiful, full of life, mother of 3, and husband who loves her dearly) suffered from a stroke in August. She was struggling for her life and in the ICU for about a month, had brain surgery to remove a blood clot, which was successful, but then was in the hospital for another month before being able to move to a rehab facility. She has expressive aphasia and has a difficult time communicating, cannot move her right arm, and is finally starting to walk again (with assistance from a cane). She was back home for a couple weeks and ended up with a infection from her incision and had to go back in for another surgery, which set her back, yet again. She's been home now for a few weeks, has physical and speech therapy 4 days a week, and struggles everyday with little tasks that we all take for granted. It was a very emotional time when she came to our annual Christmas celebration (exchange). It was one of the first times she was out of the house in months (other than the hospital) and it was difficult for all of us to see her in that condition, as it was difficult for her to see all of us, doing all the things she PRAYS she can someday do again. She could only watch up bake cookies, open presents, walk ... etc. But, we are all thankful she is ALIVE and she's recovering and that she's gradually getting better day by day. I saw on my sister's facebook page a while back, a quote saying "The things you take for granted, someone else is praying for." This really hit home with me then, and it still sticks with me now. I'm thankful I own a house, have a loving husband, supportive family and friends, and most importantly, I'm healthy ... I can walk and talk ... and for some people (like my Aunt) ... that's what we are praying for, for her!
Most importantly, I am grateful for having our prayers answered, and being blessed with our unborn child, and pray for a a healthy 9 months for myself. While some of you are still waiting for your prayers to be answered, I hope you can find some peace in trying to look at what YOU have right now, that you have your love, your DH's love, and most importantly your health! I will continue to pray that YOUR prayers will SOON be answered, and you'll get your BFP. For those of you who did get you BFP, I'll pray you have a healthy 9 months as well <3
Much love .. and here's the Christmas Ornament we gave to my Mom and MIL for Christmas, after getting to see our loves heartbeat on Monday
