Haven't been on in a while. I have just been working on trying to get better. Thursday I left the house for the first time in nearly two months! Whoo hoo! I know that seems silly to anyone who hasn't experienced anxiety and agoraphobia, but for me it was a positive first step.
We went to my daughter's open house at the school. She was very excited to show us around. I got to meet her teacher and see her classroom, and her teacher had a lot of good things to say about her. I was anxious all afternoon before we went, but only mildly anxious while I was there, so that is a big step for me.
Hopefully I can get out again today. I need to go to the store. Also, my husband will be out of town one night this week for work, so I'm trying not to be anxious.
He still hasn't been to the doctor about his SSRI withdrawal. He seems to be managing okay, but still complaining about his head feeling weird. I have been off psychoactive medication for years and my head will still feel "weird". I don't know if that ever goes away, but I didn't say anything to my husband about it other than he needs to see the doc. Because of his bad experience with the depression medication, he's afraid to go back to the doc because he doesn't want the doc to put him on more medication. I can certainly understand that.
Right now I am currently suffering through ragweed allergy season. Sometimes I think all this allergy medication aggravates my depression and anxiety. I have to be careful with what medications I take because some of them make my heart race, and bp go up so I am very limited with what I can take.
Just trying to stay positive and hoping I continue to improve. Where we live the schools and businesses do not observe labor day, so no three day weekend for us, but I hope the rest of you are enjoying some time off!

I understand how it feels to go out after being trapped inside with anxiety for a long period of time, and it feels great! I used to feel anxious before leaving the house too. And yes, sometimes my head also feels \"weird\"....not sure exactly why. But am so glad you are improving and that you have a yellow face!
I totally understand what it\'s like to go out after years of staying in. It\'s one of the hardest things I ever did! I\'m so glad you got out, though. My hubby, my greatest supporter, is always egging me on to get outside. He doesn\'t quite understand that the world OUT THERE isn\'t nearly as safe and secure as the world IN HERE. But he wants me to push boundaries. So this morning - I already told my dog so we\'re going - my pup and I are going on a walk. Not sure what time - maybe as soon as it\'s light out? And that\'s that. No turning back.
Allergies are the WORST! Have you ever heard of someone having a low grade fever for days with allergies? My doc told me I had allergies when I complained of now twice having a low grade fever for 4-5 days. She did a blood draw and saw nothing out of the ordinary (wouldn\'t that rule out allergies?). Idk. I hope yours aren\'t too bad! I\'ll be thinking of you!
