Haven't been on in a while. I have been busy trying to get everything ready for my daughter to start kindergarten. This will be her first time going to school. I have never been apart from her for more than a few hours at a time. She is excited for school and I am doing everything I can to be positive and encouraging, and making sure to hide my anxiety and sadness from her so that I don't project any negativity onto her.
I am a nervous wreck, and I feel as if I am way more anxious about this than I should be. I'll admit I am experiencing so much separation anxiety. Things are going to be so different. I think she will do well and have fun with school. She is outgoing and makes friends easily, but my mind has just been driving me nuts imagining all sorts of worse case scenarios. I'm also a bit worried how I will handle all this alone time! My life was so busy before she came along. I worked and went to school. I didn't have this debilitating anxiety which just makes everything way more difficult than it has to be. I feel like I'm going crazy. I've read forums where tons of other moms have gone through the same thing, but since I suffer from anxiety I feel like it's almost unbearable. I'm just not ready for all this change.
If anyone who has been through this has any tips or encouraging words, I would very much appreciate it.
In the meantime, we have meet the teacher Friday morning. I'll just focus on trying to keep it together and not act like a lunatic.

You will be fine on Friday. I used to worry about those things too but I think we only imagine everyone can read our thoughts and anxiety. Perhaps you can find volunteer at the school or become involved in your daughter\'s classroom. Most schools have a variety of things for parents to help out with. Your daughter will love having you at school! Or you can perhaps find an exercise group or Bible study to join while she is gone. You can schedule some fun things for yourself to do now that she is in school. Once you get on a routine, the day will fly by!! Have you been able to find a med for your anxiety? That would be a great help if you could find something to ease your anxiety. I think having your daughter in school will open up countless opportunities for you to enjoy life!
