I haven't been on lately.  Still having up and down days because I'm on my period.  Realize now after stepping back away from it a little and feeling better that if I have another month like that I just might have to go on my search for an anti-depressant that might work.(I've tried most all of them)  I take some klonopin-I guess I could talk to my doc about upping the klonopin.  Not sure if it would totally help--my symptoms are a mixture of depression and anxiety.  Has anyone tried Buspar?  Do you know how it works and is it a better choice than klonopin.  I worry about the addictive aspects of klonopin.  My doc says I'm not on a whole lot.    Right now I only take about 1 to 1.5 mg. usually at night.  But I had so much anxiety this time--I just am going to have to try something.  I had hoped all my "natural" remedies would work.  And it could be I was worse this time because I haven't been able to exercise, which I'm going to start again.........anyway, we are going out-of-town so I am real thankful that I'm feeling better.  Hope all is well with you. Sorry I've missed being here, but just wasn't feeling like it.  Hugs and Love,Cindy

I\'ve never tried Buspar for myself so I can\'t tell you how it works. It\'s related in some way to SSRI antidepressants. Klonopin can be habituating or even addictive if it\'s abused, but the amount you are taking is very small. If you stopped it suddenly you might have rebound anxiety but that is different from withdrawal symptoms. I\'ve decided to try low-dose birth control pills to control my mood fluctuations that go along with my period -- have no idea if it will work or not. I hope you find something that makes life more enjoyable for you.

Hi ya! Sorry you have been having such a hard time. I\'ve been reading on progesterone, or progestin, only BC pills to help control the swings before my period. I don\'t have the anxiety but I do get more pain and migraines with the serotonin drop the day before my period. Might be something you could look into, also. I hope you do find something to help you. Hugs and love to you.

I\'m so sorry you\'re feeling up & down.
I am a recovering drunk. I know many local people who are in recovery for drugs &/or alcohol.
All of us take medicine for anxiety but we can safely take it. None of us are addicted to any of them because of the low dose even you probably take.
I agree with CynthiaJ: You don\'t want to abuse it. If you abuse it long enough, you COULD become addicted.
I honestly feel that you can safely take it without worrying.
So there.
I\'ve missed you!
