Hope everyone had a good weekend! I will be going to my Christian counselor today alone to talk about the issues that are confronting my husband and I.We usually go together, but he didn't sound open to it when I talked to him about it a few weeks ago. He will usually go when we are having marriage problems. But he might be alittle embarrassed and also alittle in denial about his feelings over his job, work, etc. And we have gone back and forth about what he wants to do concerning his job and our finances, so I just thought I needed to get some insight from her to help me sort it all out and learn how to deal with it better. She is such a sweet, kind person and she knows both of us. And, it's always so interesting about counseling--if you go in with a problem about someone else you always find this gems of wisdom about yourself and what issues you need to work on--WHAT FUN!!LOLYa'll have a wonderful Monday! Love You All!

Its understandable, isn\'t it, that your husband is fed up with the drop in salary and the disappointment of not being a bit better off for a while... Its also upsetting when you have to think about making changes/decisions that you wouldn\'t have thought of had the circumstances not put you in the position... It feels very unfair... So I understand his anger and anxiety and I understand how that affects your sense of being safe and knowing what\'s what...
So often we don\'t realise we have these hopes and dreams until they are taken away from us and then it seems a double whammy....
I hope the counsellor is helpful Cindy... Hx
That\'s therapy for you! I know what you mean about them telling us we need to change our way of thinking; but we end up better people for it.
What a healthy decision --> therapy!
you are very wise to go to counseling...hope your hubby will go with you soon...yes, in counseling one finds all kinds of perspectives in life and openings within ourselves :) take care...love you!
Good for you for seeking help. As long as you work together, yo can get through anything.

I know just what you mean about going in about someone else\'s problem and ending up working on one you didn\'t even know you had! I know you will, at the least, find some clarity about what the issues and conflicts are really about -- and for me that\'s 99 pct of the battle already.
I hope all went well and you are doing good. LYL Tonya
