Realizing more and more everyday that my husband and I are in a mid-life crisis.I am dealing with some strange hormonal mood swings. Slept well last night-low stress day--he and I ran some errands--and then he made one comment that shouldn't have bothered me and I mean I was just all bent out of shape(he didn't know it). I mean it took all the self-control I had to not go off on him. I just went to the room, took a nap, and woke up in a completely different mood. It's very strange having those mood swings. I really don't want to lash out in anger at him and it just all feels very strange. I know I have PMDD, but most of the time it is more fatique, depression and anxiety. It is different than what I experienced today. I feel like a young girl in the early stages of puberty!!!!! With all those strange feelings and emotions. Thankfully it didn't last long, but I really hope that is not what is to be expected as I get closer to menopause. My husband is still trying to deal with the drop in salary. It's something that is very disappointing to him because he thought when we finally got the girls through college, we could do alittle catch-up. The feelings of anxiety still come and go for him and when they come--he just wants to "cash-out"--sell our house, etc. There is a possibility that things could get even worse with his company. They took over a year ago and haven't been doing the right things with advertising--sales are down--there is still the possibility that his salary cut could be one-third of his income. But he probably can't go anywhere else, so he feels trapped...TRAPPED--the feeling that so many men deal with in mid-life.We have been married 32 years. I love him and he loves me. I just want him to be happy--but there's really nothing I can do about that. It's hard to watch, though......but, I'm really having to lean harder and harder on the Lord and I'm realizing that God is bigger than all of this that's going on with us!

Amen, He sure is! But, you can pray! Sorry you are feeling so crummy.
You and hubby will be in my prayers!
I wish I knew what to say. Men are so close minded too...so it\'s hard to give them advice...shit..they won\'t even ask for directions, right?
I hope that you have peace within....anxiety is horrible. I notice that about 3-4 days before my period I get the same way you do...
When I get anxious, my thinking is all over the place, brain gets scattered & I make the worst decisions for myself.
I can relate to your husband\'s anxiety!
It\'s probably worse when he\'s at home.
Has he talked to his friends at work to find out what they\'re planning to do ~ where they\'ll try to seek employment?
If all else fails (with me) & I can\'t calm down, a tranquilizer slows down my thinking enough so that I can \'see\' better & start small.
I saw this bumper sticker: If silver is (forgot), then duct tape is Gold. It\'s hard to Keep My Mouth Shut too! tee hee
