Hi Everyone,Hope all are doing great.  Interesting things happening here.  I went to see another naturopath yesterday.  She is very experienced .  She seems to think that I need to de-toxify my liver and colon--and, get this, that my issues might not be hormonal. LOL--They do this test called muscle testing and she said my ovaries checked out fine--I don't know if I should be excited or confused.  I know to many it sounds like a witch doctor, and I even used to think this, but when you run out of options medically--you will try different things to feel better. Another  interesting thing going on here is my husband came home yesterday and said he wanted to take a leave of absence from work for a year and travel around camping or go live in Mexico (you can live there very cheaply).  He said he wants to sell our house, cars, etc.  His job is stressful and he puts alot of stress on himself--so when business is not that great-he gets disillusioned and feels depressed but this is a first for being that drastic--now he backed off of it some in the evening.  Anyway, I don't want my husband unhappy--but I don't want him to do something that will just cause him more stress down the road-  said this life, his work, trying to save and get ahead has not made him happy-that going away will help him find himself(I never thought I would hear him say that phrase.  I think what's started all this is that we finally finished putting our last two thru college. we are both experiencing mid-life stuff and that we just got back from this really great camping trip.  And we just had a great time at the beach, felt like two kids again, etc.......... Anyway, anyone had any of these mid-life stories or know anyone that has????

Well, its a bit safer than buying a Harley Davidson and driving Route 66.., but hey! I think its quite normal for him to feel like this... For some people mid-life is the first time they actually get to stop and think, \"is this what I want?\"

Many brilliant people have found greater happiness by taking the risk and changing the way they live.... The essential key to success is to plan and be sensible about what you want to try; just dashing off is going to make the risk so much bigger at a time in your life when, you don\'t have that much flexibility any longer...

Don\'t be too scared of it Cindy. It might be the start of a whole new wonderful life for you both!

Wow...what a decision! Amazing how jobs can run us away, far, far away! I feel like that sometimes but don\'t think I would ever move away or take a long trip. I agree with HelenDM, he may just be reflecting and need some time to think about life.

Midlife is definitely a time when people reevaluate what\'s important and what\'s not. It doesn\'t have to be a time when everything that can be changed is changed, but, with time and care and loving support, it can be a time wonderful exploration and change that is manageable. Let him talk, it\'s the best thing for him right now. Hopefully he isn\'t feeling silly about it already! I\'ve had wonderful dreams in the past year as I slowly look the rest of my life in the eye. Now, most of them I will never do, but they tell me loads about what is really important to me, about parts of me that got lost in the midst of responsibility. Is any of this happening for you too? Maybe it\'s something that you can share. . . .

Ditto on all of it! I\'d say hubby had a great time and then went back to a job that makes him unhappy and is having a major \"Take this job and shove it\" moment! I hope that you both can figure out some changes that will make you both very happy. Many hugs and much love to you!
