I am going to have lunch with my mom and sister because it is my birthday tomorrow.....I think I've almost got over this turning fifty- everything's downhill from here-thing.
Have you ever noticed that there are just truly amazing women who are 55 and over.....I mean they seem so free.... Maybe you lose alot of your hangups about looks, maybe you finally realize what's important in life, or maybe it's that the hormones are just not fluctuating, but I want to be like these women when I grow up!!!!!

I had my melt down at 30 cause that meant my youth was defanitly over and I didnt like that. Now I feel its just a number and you will see...when its here it will be just like another day!
I don\'t know, at 48 I am feeling quite the opposite. I feel like I\'ve had so many experiences, that I feel so wise (yeah, I know, pride goeth) that the world looks just stupider and stupider sometimes... Very freeing. Like I should get Bruce Willis and Haley whatshisname to do the sequel \"I See Stupid People\". And, so many people here are at this site are so wise and don\'t know it yet, maybe because they never had anyone to tell them. I get so much from all your/their journals, new points of view to consider, inner growth, good support. YOU GO, DS PEOPLE! You are special and don\'t let anyone tell you otherwise! And Maycin, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOOOOOOOOOOUUUUU! And you get to have cake? I\'m SO jealous... LOL!

My Birthday was Wednesday May 17th. I\'m now 54yrs. Young and Thankful and so grateful to be here. I celebrated with my 2yr.old Grandson \"Trey\"
and had a wonderful day at \"Chucky Cheese\" I had a blast, and of course
my husband and we had a blast with Pizza. The littleone sang \"Happy Birthday to \"E\" and it was the best Birthday ever. Oh, what did I get,
Well, I got a little Thomas Engine and Friends Train and Story books to
read to Trey, a Pink and White cake with candles. I had a wonderful day
and being blessed in the Lord.

I\'ll be 56 in July & I enjoy getting older. My attitude has been that the older I get, the less I worry about things that I thought were important.
I definitely agree with \'karenls,\' especially about the stupid people. I learn from them how not to be stupid.
